DMC was contracted to provide the Demolition and Removal of hazardous material for  residential properties in the City of Redford. The work generally includes the demolition of the designated residential property, out buildings/structures, pavements, trees and fencing. This work complied with all applicable federal, state and local codes and regulations relating to buildings, employment, the preservation of public health and safety, use of streets, and the performance of the work under this Contract. This work included demolishing, loading, hauling, and disposal of the vacant residential property and its contents, down to and including, all foundations, walls, basements, elevator pits, elevator operating units and associated oil tanks, tunnels, floor slabs, water heaters, boilers, air handling equipment and other items.

Scope Of Work

Demolition and Removal

  • Demolishing, loading, hauling, and disposal of the residential structure(s) and its contents.
  • Removal, loading, hauling, and disposal all foundations, walls, basements and floor slabs.
  • Removal of water heaters,boilers, air handling equipment and other items.
  • Removing, loading, hauling, and disposal of all pavements from the edge of sidewalk at street.
  • Removal and disposal of existing utilities on site.
  • Plugging  all utility connections at the right-of-way in accordance with the requirements of Redford Township.

Back Filling and Site Restoration

  • Restoring all ground areas disturbed after demolition, excavation, and removal work is complete.
  • General grading and leveling to meet existing grades.
  • Placing additional backfill material if necessary to meet existing grades.
  • Maintenance of site drainage conditions.
  • Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures.
  • Covering and protecting utility manholes outside the demolition area during demolition and debris removal.
  • Protecting sidewalk and driveway apron in the right-of-way.
  • Repairing or replacing if damaged by demolition or removal activities.
  • Disposal of all demolition debris off site.
