Southfield Public Library Exterior Improvements

Description
The project included hardscape and landscape enhancements at the library’s front entrance and rear reading garden. Work involved removal of existing concrete pavers, preparation of the aggregate base, and placement of exposed and etched colored concrete as well as regular concrete sidewalks and ramps. In the reading garden, decorative moons and stars murals were incorporated into the colored concrete, creating a unique design feature. Additional improvements included two new flower beds with concrete curbs, installation of plantings, adjustment of the existing irrigation system, a shade sail structure, and site furnishings to create a welcoming and functional outdoor space.
