Description

This Design-Build project consisted of the conversion of an existing 242,000 middle school into a modernized training center facility for the Detroit Police Department Training Academy program. The project entailed coordination of design, permitting, and construction from concept to closeout. Scope of work was consisting of full MEP upgrades and interior architectural upgrades, along with façade repairs. Work was performed in a phased approach as the facility was occupied throughout construction. Improvements also included full gymnasium court replacement, new lockers, new security system, and coordination for Owner-installed furniture.
